The Women's Alliance: VISION AWARD      

The VISION Award was announced in 2004 and will be given to women (on a case by case basis)
who have made a significant leadership contribution or pioneered innovative programs that
support women’s career advancement.

2004 - Laurel Baer, founder of Bottomless Closet, Chicago, proudly received The Women's Alliance first-ever VISION AWARD in honor of her outstanding creativity and vision that pioneered the way for the development of programs providing professional attire for women in transition across the country. 

The award was presented by Susan Van Veen, Executive Director, Bottomless Closet, Chicago at The Women's Alliance 2004 National Conference in Atlanta.

2005 - Carol Evans, CEO of Working Mother Media with our second  VISION AWARD by Sheri Cole, Executive Director of The Women's Alliance. Carol's story is exemplary and her work to advance worklife best practices for working mothers is highly regarded.

In addition, Carol has raised thousands of dollars for The Women's Alliance through silent auctions hosted at signature Working Mother conferences each year.

Linda and Drew Peterson

2006 - Linda Peterson, Peterson's Harley-Davidson of Miami (South) was presented with a VISION Award by Nicole Wild Executive Director of The Women's Alliance for her outstanding commitment of women in need. In April, Linda single-handedly hosted a grand gala to open their new 40,000 squ ft store in Cutler Bay to benefit The Women's Alliance and Chapter 2. Over 450 guests representing the philanthropic and business community attended the event to honor the opening of the new store and the Peterson family tradition of philanthropy.

2007 - Sheri Cole, Executive Director of The Career Wardrobe (Philadelphia, PA) was the recipient of The Women's Alliance 2007 VISION AWARD for her incredible leadership as Board Chair from 2003 - 2007. Ms. Cole received a standing ovation from the members and gave a tear filled thank you.
