Starting Your Own Member Organization

Make a difference. As an organization united together we make a difference. The Women’s Alliance is dedicated to providing technical assistance to community groups and volunteers, helping them to start and grow independent programs that will provide professional clothing and career skills coaching for low-income individuals in need in their communities. Access membership application forms.

New Program Concept Checklist

Thinking about starting a "career clothing program" in your city or community? The Women's Alliance can help! Our New Program Concept Checklist was created to assist people like you who want to start a program but are unsure how to go about it. This guide was created by gathering information from our members and compiling a list of shared practices, the resources needed and the steps many followed to establish similar programs in their own communities. For a nominal cost of $35, you will receive the New Program Concept Checklist and thirty minutes of follow-up telephone support to answer any questions you may have. Should you decide to become a member of The Women's Alliance, you will receive a $35 credit towards your first year membership dues.

To order online, simply make a $35 contribution and a PDF copy of our NEW Program Concept Checklist will be emailed to you within 3-5 days (after processing).

START-UP Membership

The Women's Alliance is a national organization of independent community-based members who provide professional attire and career skills training to low-income women and their families seeking self-sufficiency.

The Women's Alliance member locations have helped more than 75,000 women and their families in transition from welfare and poverty to overcome significant employment barriers and the “cost of making a good appearance”. Services provided ensure that low-income individuals (women, men and youth) have the professional attire and career skills coaching they need to make the right first impression at job interviews and to ensure success in the work place.

A key function of The Women's Alliance is to help new organizations get started in communities that are not currently being served.
